6 Pambassadors working with the star pandas in Chengdu
While I returned to Belgium, the 6 winning Pambassadors started their jobs at the in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Each pambassador will take care of one star panda during the next 2 weeks. You can follow their adventures at their blogs. Here is some information about the Pambassadors and their pandas.
Pambassador Ali Shakorian (Sweden) is taking care of star panda Jing Jing at the Moonlight Nursery House.
Jing Jing (female) was born on August 30, 2005 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. She has studbook number 598. Her mother is Ya Ya (362) and her father is Ko Bi (386).

Pambassador Yumiko Kajiwara (Japan) is taking care of star panda Xing Bang at the No. 14 Enclosure.
Xing Bang (Japanese name = Kou Hin) (male) was born on August 23, 2005 at Adventure World Shirahama, Japan. He has studbook number 614. His mother is Mei Mei (408) and his father is Xiong Ming (Japanese name = Ei Mei) (390).

Pambassador David Algranti (France) is taking care of star panda Wu Yi at the Moonlight Nursery House.
Wu Yi (male) was born on August 7, 2006 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. He has studbook number 630. His mother is Qi Zhen (490) and his father is Lin Lin (455).

Pambassador Wang Yuwen “Jellyfish” (Taiwan) is taking care of star panda Mei Lan at the No.2 House for Giant Pandas.
Mei Lan (female) was born on September 6, 2006 at Zoo Alanta, U.S.A. She has studbook number 649. Her mother is Lun Lun (452) and her father is Yang Yang (461).
Pambassador Huang Xi “Cici” (China) is taking care of star panda Shu Yun at the Giant Panda Cub Enclosure.
Shu Yun (male) was born on August 5, 2008 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. He has studbook number 718. His mother is Shu Qing (480) and his father is unknown.
Pambassador Ashley Robertson (United States of America) is taking care of star panda Qi Qi at the Sunshine Nursery House.
Qi Qi (female) was born on September 28, 2009 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. She has studbook number 764. Her mother is Da Shuang (453) and her father is is unknown.
