Lin Ping's Gold Medal
Lin Ping, the female panda born at the Chiang Mai Zoo in Thailand, won Gold in the category ‘Favorite Panda Outside of China’ in our Giant Panda Zoo Awards 2012.
And this is how Chiang Mai Zoo celebrated Lin Ping’s Gold:
On February 14, 2013, a parade was organised to bring Lin Ping’s Gold Medal to Chiang Mai Zoo’s Panda Building.
Sunchai Jullamon, director of Chiang Mai Zoo, said that visitors to the zoo will have opportunity to pose for pictures with the giant certificate of Lin Ping’s prize.
Miss World Yu Wenxia and Miss World CEO Julia Morley visited Chiang Mai Zoo on the day of the party and were the first to pose with Lin Ping’s medal. Miss World Yu Wenxia, knows that Lin Ping is the panda ambassador for her home nation China in Thailand.
Lin Ping later received the Gold Medal from the Head of the Panda Department in Thailand, Prasertsak Buntragulpoontawee.
Congratulations Lin Ping!
