Tian Tian receives a Christmas cake

Edinburgh Zoo’s giant panda Tian Tian has been given a Christmas cake in the shape of a Christmas tree as part of the Zoo’s festive treats for the animals.
The 11-year-old bear, who arrived at the Zoo in December 2011 along with male panda Yang Guang, was given a special Christmastree cake by her keepers.
The cake is based on a special recipe by the CCRCGP. Captive giant pandas receive, in addition to their bamboo diet, a few extras like carrots, apples, leafeater biscuits and/or panda cake.
